‘In the Name of Love’ Rakes P47.30-M in 5 Days!

In the Name of Love”, Star Cinema’s romantic drama film, topped Philippine box-office last week with a haul of P47.30 million in first 5 days.



This is according to the latest figures posted by Box Office Mojo Philippines from 90 theaters nationwide which means around 15 - 25 theaters in the provinces were not yet accounted for.
 
Starring Angel Locsin, Jake Cuenca and Aga Muhlach, “In The Name of Love” is Star Cinema’s 18th anniversary movie offering. With an outstanding ticket sale, the film is now the second highest opening for a local movie this year so far (the record to beat is P52.95 million from Catch Me…I’m In Love.)
 
For the weekend opening period of May 11-15, 2011, the Star Cinema romantic drama movie bested 2 Hollywood movies which also debuted last week – “Priest” and “Something Borrowed”.

“In The Name of Love” is expected to achieve the P75-85 million ticket sales by week 2 and P90-100 million mark by week 3-4.
