8th ENPRESS Golden Screen Awards – 2011 Winners

Sid Lucero wins the Best Actor Award for the indie film ‘Muli’. Sid ends the winning streak of Coco Martin which also nominated for the same award for the film ‘Noy’. 




Meanwhile Young Kapuso Actress, Lovi Poe grabs the prestigious major award as Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for her indie movie Mayohan.
 
In terms of Musical or Comedy genre film, ‘Here Comes the Bride’ lead stars Angelica Panganiban and John Lapus take the awards for Best Performance by an Actress and Actor.
   
Here are some of the winners of the 8th Golden Screen Awards held last night at Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills, San Juan City.

Best Motion Picture- Drama - Sigwa (Begins at 20 Plus)

Best Motion Picture- Musical or Comedy - Emir (Film Development Council of the Philippines)

Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role- Drama - Lovi Poe (Mayohan)

Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role- Drama - Sid Lucero (Muli)

Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role- Musical or Comedy - Angelica Panganiban (Here Comes The Bride)

Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role- Musical or Comedy - John Lapus (Here Comes The Bride)

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role- Drama, Musical or Comedy - Zsa Zsa Padilla (Sigwa)

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role- Drama, Musical or Comedy - Tirso Cruz, III (Sigwa)

Breakthrough Performance by an Actress - Frencheska Farr (Emir)

Breakthrough Performance by an Actor - Martin del Rosario (Dagim) and Rocky Salumbides (Tarima)

Best Director - Chito Roño (Emir)

Best Story - Chito Rono, Jeffrey Gracio (Emir)

Best Original Screenplay - Bonifacio Ilagan (Sigwa)

Best Editing - Jerrold Tarog (Emir)

Best Original Song - “Bakit Ako Naririto” from the movie “Emir,” music and lyrics by Gary Granada, interpreted by Frenchesca Farr
