36th Metro Manila Film Festival: A First Look at ‘Rosario’ Movie

Rosario is one of the eight official entries for the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). The film was themed after 1920's in Spanish scenery where the main character, Jennylyn Mercado, played a liberated lady role who gets involved with various men of different persuasions.

“Rosario” stars Jennylyn Mercado as Rosario, Dennis Trillo as Alberto, Sid Lucero as Carding, Isabel Oli as Carmen, Yul Servo as Vicente and with a special participation by the Comedy King Dolphy as the elder Jesus. It also stars Tonton Gutierrez, Lloyd Samartino, Phillip Salvador , Jaime Fabregas and many more. It is directed by Albert Martinez which considered as his directorial debut movie and under the film outfit of CineMabuhay and Studio 5 (considering the first movie project by TV5).

The theme song of "Rosario" is compose by Ogie Alcasid with a song title "Ang Aking Buhay" which will be sung by Jennylyn Mercado.

Watch out for this imminent film that will center about love, guilt, betrayal and redemption, and about what it means to be in advance of one’s instance.
